Segnalato dalla CRUI, il premio, rivolto a giovani ricercatori e dottorandi, intende valorizzare e sostenere il lavoro di giovani talenti impegnati in attività di ricerca in settori tecnologici di frontiera cruciali per lo sviluppo del nostro Paese, quali la robotica e l’intelligenza artificiale.

Il riconoscimento di 20.000 euro è assegnato alla persona, come apprezzamento della creatività, visione, dedizione, perseveranza, e capacità di contribuire con il proprio lavoro di ricerca allo sviluppo e al progresso dell’umanità.
Una giuria nominata dalla Fondazione Mondo Digitale e dall’Università Campus Bio-Medico di Roma, composta da accademici e rappresentanti del mondo tecnico scientifico, valuterà le candidature e selezionerà la vincitrice o il vincitore, che sarà annunciato l’8 maggio in occasione della RomeCup 2025.

ERA NET NEURON CALL FOR PROPOSAL "INTERDISCIPLINARY APPROACHES TO THE NEUROSCIENCE OF PAIN"

The aim of the call is to facilitate multinational, collaborative research projects that will address critical translational and clinical questions using interdisciplinary approaches to improve the knowledge about the neuroscience of pain, bearing the potential to improve the lives of the people affected. Research proposals should cover at least one of the following areas:

1. Fundamental research on neuroscientific aspects of the pathogenesis, aetiology, prevention, progression, and treatment of chronic pain. This may include the development of innovative or shared resources and technologies considered of relevance in the context of this call.
2. Clinical research to develop new strategies for prevention, diagnosis, patient stratification, therapy, and rehabilitation procedures for chronic pain syndromes.

EU4HEALTH PROGRAMME - CALL FOR PROPOSALS "EU-USA COOPERATION ON LUNG CANCER"

The European Health and Digital Executive Agency (HaDEA) implements European programmes on behalf of the European Commission, such as EU4Health, and has launched this call to promote the cooperation with the USA in the framework of the Cancer Moonshot Initiative and EU Mission Cancer.

JOINT PROGRAMMING INITIATIVE HEALTHY AND PRODUCTIVE SEAS AND OCEANS (JPI OCEANS) - CALL FOR PROPOSAL "SCIENCE FOR GOOD ENVIRONMENTL STATUS (S4GES) 2025"

The call objectives are:

1. Consolidating the Science Base for the implementation of Marine Strategy Framework Directive (MSFD):
   • Build on the achievements of the first phase by integrating new findings with existing knowledge;
   • Enhance the scientific foundation supporting the MSFD to achieve its targets more effectively.
2. Supporting an improved definition and measurement of Good Environmental Status:
   • Specific research on scientific aspects that need further elaboration to better define and measure GES;
   • Develop and implement methodologies and strategies to better define and measure GES.
3. Supporting the implementation of a process-based approach to GES:
   • Define, apply and test process-based monitoring strategies and protocols across different sea basins to improve the relevance and quality of observations and data collection in MFSD with the aim of better using resources more efficiently;
   • Exploit existing and/or propose new augmented observation infrastructure(s) through joint international collaboration aiming to provide sustained common baseline information on key ecosystem parameters conducive to joint assessment on GES at the regional scale

The funding entity for the Italian beneficiaries is the Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche (CNR).

UNIUD - DONNE CHE FANNO LA SCIENZA

L'Ateneo, per celebrare la Giornata internazionale delle donne e delle ragazze nella scienza e la Giornata internazionale dei diritti delle donne, organizza il convegno "Donne che fanno la Scienza", in programma per venerdì 28 febbraio 2025 alle ore 14.30 presso l’auditorium della nuova biblioteca scientifica dei Rizzi.

Vi prenderanno parte la prof.ssa Antonella Viola, Biologa, scienziata, scrittrice e divulgatrice scientifica, ordinaria di Patologia generale presso il Dipartimento di Scienze Biomediche dell'Università di Padova, e otto studiose, professoresse associate e ordinarie e ricercatrici, in rappresentanza di ciascun Dipartimento del nostro Ateneo, per presentare le loro esperienze di ricerca più significative.
