Objectives

  • To present the critical issues of the current system of scientific communication;
  • provide a 360-degree overview of Open Science and its potential, exploring the context of EOSC;
  • provide in detail the operational tools for doing Open Science in practice, with the help of an interactive game;
  • delve into the logic and benefits of Open Access and practical tools with a particular focus on Diamond Open Access;
  • delve into the obligations arising from Horizon Europe;
  • understand the three basic steps of a) managing the data b) make them FAIR by design c) if possible, make them Open
  • provide basic skills on managing data of research and on writing a Data Management Plan (DMP) with a hands-on exercise.
