Provide the basic elements for the design, construction and maintenance of roads, railways and airports.

Principles of design, construction and maintenance of roads, railways and airports, on the basis of functionality criteria, safety, cost and environmental compatibility.

Contents

Roads: Roads classification: technical, functional and administrative criteria. Traffic parameterization. Basic knowledge on locomotion mechanics. Constitutive and complementary elements of the road platform. Road design principles. Geometrical and functional standards for the design and construction of roads. Road superstructures: composition, materials, construction techniques, design criteria. (48 hours)

Railways: The railway structure. Railway design principles. (6 hours)

Airports: Terminal and maintenance areas. Infrastructures and superstructures. (6 hours)
