Description
The group's research activity is focused on the development of innovative organic syntheses and the study of reaction mechanisms, with specific focus on the production and reactivity of N-Protected and N-Unprotected α-amino acid derivatives (esters, hydrazides, carbamates, ureas and carbamoyl azides). The research interest of the group is also the development of new process strategies for the synthesis of molecules of biological and industrial interest. In the analytical field, the interest is directed to mass spectrometry coupled to chromatography (GC-MS, HPLC-MS, EI, ESI, APCI) applied not only to the study of the reaction mechanisms in organic chemistry, but also to the identification and quantification of the analytes present in the extracts of complex natural mixtures.
