Gender Budgeting 2020
GENDER BUDGETING 2020
The Gender Balance of the University of Udine is at its second edition. In fact, since 2019, the University has equipped itself with this tool to monitor gender disparities currently present in our academic community and to foster widespread awareness of the need to implement actions aimed at reducing the gender gap.
In the introduction to the first edition of the University's Gender Report, it was recalled that this document represented the first step towards the implementation of the 'Gender Equality Plan (GEP)', i.e. a structured plan of actions aimed at overcoming the imbalance gender.
The adoption of the GEP is an essential requirement for access to the funds allocated by the EU Commission in the 'Horizon Europe' funding program for Research and Innovation and for the RRP funds for universities (Mission 4: Education and Research).
Today, the Gender Equality Plan of the University of Udine is a reality thanks to the work of the CUG - Equal Opportunities Committee. With the adoption of the GEP (resolution of the Board of Directors of 17 December 2021), the University undertakes to carry out, on an annual basis, concrete and measurable actions aimed at favoring the overcoming of the gender imbalance and promoting culture. social inclusion. Among the actions envisaged there is also the annual drafting of the Gender Budgeting, an indispensable, as well as sensitive, tool for monitoring the changes in place and, therefore, a starting point for planning strategies and actions for equal opportunities for all women and men who are part of the academic community of the University of Udine.
In line with the first edition, the Gender Budgeting 2020 was also prepared following the 'Guidelines for Gender Budgeting in Italian Universities' drawn up in 2019 by the CRUI Group and published online in open access.
