How to extend your mobility period and change your learning agreement

How to request an extension of your study period

Exchange students who would like to study at the University of Udine longer than first planned, for educational reasons, can extend their study period as long as the co-operation agreement between universities enables it:

You could request the extension of your study period at least a month before the end date on the Exchange Agreement

Changes to the Learning Agreement

If you would like to make some changes to the original Learning Agreement, you can manage a meeting with your Academic Responsible (Departmental Coordinator / Receiving Institution) in order to agree together the changes.
Once the changes have been agreed, fill in the dedicated form and send it via to the International Students Service, duly completed and signed by you and your University.
The International Students Service will request for the final approval to your Academic Responsible in Udine (Departmental Coordinator / Receiving Institution) and will send it via fax/e-mail to your university.
If you have submitted the first learning agreement as OLA (online learning agreement), you will have to submit for approval changes to the OLA in cooperation with your University.

ECTS and Accumulation Grades System

The European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS) is a tool that helps to design, describe, and deliver study programmes and award higher education qualifications. The use of ECTS, in conjunction with outcomes-based qualifications frameworks, makes study programmes and qualifications more transparent and facilitates the recognition of qualifications.

The University of Udine, according to the European directives which discipline the ECTS system, recognizes the equivalence 1 CFU = 1 ECTS.
